From Issue No. 147 | September 16, 2009

On Tuesday, October 13th at the historic Carlu, Heritage Toronto will celebrate outstanding contributions by individuals and community organizations, as well as industry professionals and associations, in promoting and conserving Torontos history and heritage landmarks. Hosting the Heritage Toronto Awards this year is CBC Radios Mary Ito.

In 2009, Heritage Toronto will be presenting its Special Achievement Award to long-time heritage advocate, Stephen Otto.

In a bit of a departure from our usual format lecture, Heritage Toronto is hosting The Great Toronto Roast, our birthday party for our Citys 175th year. Special guests of roasters and toasters will celebrate both our triumphs and our foibles in a lively one-hour program.

Hosted by Soulpepper Theatre founder and actor Albert Schultz, the Roast will offer an array of guests who all have one thing in common a love for their city. Join us as we find moments to share laughter, as well as celebrate and reflect on our collective accomplishments.

Appearing at the Roast:
Former Mayor David Crombie
Comedians from Second City
Valerie Rosedale - Don Harron
Dennis Lee
Freddy Proia - Yuk Yuk's
Kwan Ho Tse - "Time"
Jan Wong
d'bi.young
Mayor David Miller

Tickets:
General Admission - $30

Or purchase a ticket to our special pre-event Mayors Reception - $100 (limited tickets available also includes admittance to the Awards and Roast)
