TORONTO, Aug. 27 /CNW/ - With half of this year's Doors Open Ontario events taking place in September and October, visitors have an opportunity to explore and enjoy many of the province's unique heritage sites throughout the fall season.

Doors Open Ontario provides a chance for families to embark on the ideal "staycation," encouraging them to discover the many fascinating heritage sites located close to home. Ontario's architectural showpieces, community landmarks and gardens are waiting to be explored - all free of charge.

The Ontario Heritage Trust is delighted to partner with Henry's to offer the Doors Open Ontario 2009 Digital Photo Contest. Attend upcoming events to snap interesting photos of heritage architecture, artifacts, natural spaces or crowds of people enjoying their Doors Open experiences.
