The event celebrates the opening of an exhibition of drawings and photographs that document the A-frame house that Canadian poet Al Purdy built over several decades. It also marks the publication of "The Al Purdy A-frame Anthology"by Harbour Publishing. We will be joined by special guest George Bowering.

Duncan Patterson, creator of the "Room Enough Between the Trees" exhibit, will host this evening of poetry, art and anecdotes. Book sales and an auction featuring Al Purdy memorabilia will help raise funds to preserve the A-frame as a retreat for future generations of Canadian writers.
