The Aurora Heritage Advisory Committee would like to invite you to attend our coming heritage workshop where you will learn how to save money and preserve your old home.

The workshop will be split into two sessions; morning session (10 a.m. - 12 p.m.) will focus on energy efficiency issues in relation to historic houses since every year character defining elements are removed from historic houses in the name of energy efficiency; afternoon session (12 p.m. - 3 p.m.) will focus on how to repair old wood windows and their superior quality over thermal replacement windows.

The workshop will be led by Dr. Christopher Cooper, Editor in Chief of Edifice Old Home Magazine. Dr. Cooper has 25 years experience in the restoration of historic buildings in Canada and abroad. He is recognized nationally and internationally as one of the leading professionals in his field.

The workshop to be held on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at the Aurora Cultural Centre, 22 Church Street, Aurora, ON L4G 1G4.
