The significance of keeping the moisture out of your masonry home is all important. Severe damage can happen when unskilled people use Portland cement when repointing antique brick and stone.

The purpose of this workshop is to instruct the attendees in the proper execution of mortar removal, mixture of historic lime mortars and the process of repointing (filling) and finishing filled mortar.

The removal of Portland Cement and replacement ofspalled (deteriorated and broken) brick will also be addressed.

Video clips of the workshop can be viewed on the web site.
