As part of a province-wide initiative from the Ontario Heritage Trust, the 6th annual Doors Open Aurora event will take place on Saturday, July 9, 2011 in Aurora.

Doors Open Aurora seeks to celebrate, educate, and inform local residents and visitors of the importance of the architectural, cultural and historical sites in Aurora. It offers a rare opportunity to explore sites of interest, many of which are not normally open to the public. Participants are able to tour buildings, take guided tours, view special exhibits and displays during the single day event  all for free!

21 sites will open their doors to the public, including two walking tours and storeytelling time.
