From Issue No. 221 | December 23, 2013

Since it first appeared on Facebook in February 2013, Lost Ottawa, a creation of David McGee and Anne Marie Battis, has become one of the most popular ways in which the people of Ottawa consume the history of their city. Much of that popularity is based on reactions to photographs of Ottawas built environment. In this talk David McGee will use multiple examples from Lost Ottawa to explore what makes pictures of parks, buildings and neighborhoods so interesting to members of the community.
David McGee currently serves as the Archivist of the Canada Science and Technology Museum and the Canada Aviation and Space Museum.
