This lecture will focus on the conservation of the historical woodwork of The Alderlea Heritage Estate.
Alderlea is located in downtown Brampton at 40 Elizabeth Street South, adjacent to Gage Park. This estate was built between 1865 and 1879 for Kenneth Chisholm, the son in law of the founder of Brampton, John Elliot. The estate is an exemplary example of the full Italianate style.
