Riverdale Historical Society's April event is a presentation by author and journalist Sarah Hood on the Shirriff marmalade company, located for many years in its own building at Davies and Matilda in Riverdale. The Shirriffs are an interesting Canadian family with tie-ins to other Toronto food business, as well as to the life of the naturalist and author Charles Sauriol.

Sarah has served as editor of three national Canadian magazines and is currently a contributing editor with "Spacing" magazine. She has been shortlisted for Canada's National Magazine Awards, the Kenneth R. Wilson Awards for business writing and Taste Canada, the Food Writing Awards.


Admission $5/free to RHS members.
