Myseum of Toronto is hosting a free pop-up Myseum on the Move event in partnership with Archaeological Services Inc. (ASI). We invite people of all ages to share backyard finds for analysis by professional archaeologists. Focusing on archaeological artifacts that highlight the rich history of Toronto and the GTA, your sharing of objects and stories will help build Myseum Memories. Launching in November 2015, this digital project represents the diversity of experiences in Toronto.
This family-friendly event will also showcase an exhibit of artifacts recovered from archaeological sites across the Greater Toronto area. A variety of themes relating to the Aboriginal and early Euro-Canadian settlements of the region as well as its military and commercial/industrial history will be showcased.
We are pleased to announce that the following individuals will be Myseum Experts for this event:
Additional ASI staff archaeologists will also be available to provide information and answer questions about the artifacts displayed.
We encourage you to bring your Aboriginal and Euro-Canadian artifacts from the nineteenth century and earlier. Registration on Eventbrite is free and encouraged.
