The University of Toronto’s Urban Studies Student Union, Urban Studies Program and Innis College are proud to present a book panel discussion of John Sewell’s recently published book, How We Changed Toronto: The inside story of twelve tumultuous years in civic life, 1969-1980. We invite you to take part in the panel’s discussion of the book’s themes of urban planning, heritage preservation, citizen engagement, and broadly speaking, city-building.

Panelists:

John Sewell – Author and Former Mayor of Toronto
Catherine Nasmith – Heritage Architect and President of the Architectural Conservancy Ontario
Paul Bedford – Former Chief Planner of Toronto and Adjunct Professor at the University of Toronto and Ryerson University

Moderator:
Ceta Ramkhalawansingh – Former Ward 20 City of Toronto Coucillor and Member, Innis College Council.
